Caden Palka Huntley IL Obituary, Death: A 21-year-old man from Algonquin, identified as Caden Palka, died Tuesday evening after a motorcycle collision involving a car on Randall Road in Sleepy Hollow, Illinois, according to local police.

The Sleepy Hollow Police Department said officers responded at approximately 6:48 p.m. to the intersection of Randall Road and Technology Drive following reports of a serious crash. At the scene, first responders found a heavily damaged 2024 Yamaha motorcycle and a 2023 Subaru Forester involved in the collision.

Preliminary findings indicate that Palka was traveling southbound on Randall Road when his motorcycle struck a Subaru that was heading north and attempting to turn west onto Technology Drive. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing, but early evidence suggests that speed and possible aggressive or reckless driving may have been contributing factors in the crash.

Emergency personnel transported Palka to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the Subaru, a 22-year-old woman from Sleepy Hollow, was also taken to Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Officials said her injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Following the crash, Randall Road was closed for approximately four hours as investigators worked to document the scene and reconstruct the incident.

Multiple agencies assisted in the response, including the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team, Elgin Police Department, Kane County Sheriff’s Office, Kane County Office of Emergency Management, and the Rutland Dundee Fire Protection District.

Authorities have not released further details as the investigation continues into the exact circumstances leading up to the collision.
